Stephen completed his Bachelor’s at Bowling Green State University in Science Education and then completed a Master’s in Higher Education at the University of Toledo. Stephen most recently worked for the Center for Higher Education Enterprise here at OSU where he worked to create a program that promoted healthy children and families by helping to educate, empower, and employ clinically referred, juvenile justice involved African American adolescent males in diverse communities throughout Franklin County. Additionally, he also has experience at the Office of Recreational Services at the University of Toledo where he helped administer a summer camp program for youth ages 5-12.

Connect & Collaborate grant

The Connect & Collaborate grant was awarded to LiFEsports . These grants are dedicated to improving the planning, implementation, and sustainability of campus and community partnerships. LiFEsports will use this funding to be accessed for the YLA and ensure long-term sustainability of the Initiative.
As a result of this planning grant, LiFEsports is currently in discussion with OSU Extension related to long-term co-funding of administrative staff for the LiFEsports Initiative. Additionally, LiFEsports wrote and received a Community Connectors Grant from the Ohio Department of Education for over $94,000 to support the YLA in 2017-18.
