LiFEsports is always looking for ways for both the Ohio State and Columbus community to engage with our youth, students, and families. There are a number of one-time and ongoing opportunities to support the initiative’s mission and needs.
Join Our Team
Each summer, the LiFEsports Initiative hires more than 80 interns and employees for the LiFEsports summer camps. This hands-on experience provides Ohio State students, student-athletes, and community members with the opportunity to make a daily impact in the lives of our Columbus youth. In addition to these paid experiences, LiFEsports also is regularly looking for students interested in independent study and research experiences. All first-year applicants should apply using the internship application.

Opportunities for Our Students
With a strong commitment to preparing tomorrow’s youth development leaders, LiFEsports is always interested in developing new internships and field experiences for our Ohio State students. While LiFEsports provides hands-on opportunities during the summer and throughout the year during clinics, many Ohio State students desire a more hands-on experience working with youth serving organizations in the Columbus community and across the country. As such, we often need partnerships that will provide these invaluable learning opportunities for our students.
Volunteer at the LiFEsports
Summer Camps or Clinics
Each year, LiFEsports is in need of multiple volunteers to ensure that our youth receive the best programming possible, Volunteers are needed at annual events such as the LiFEsports registration and health physical day, parent orientation, the LiFEsports Games, and summer camp career day. At these events, volunteers often help support administrative or programming activities such as registering youth and families, teaching youth about a particular career, or being a reference for one of our LiFEsports activities. Volunteers are also needed at our sports clinics throughout the year. These are great events to engage entire teams interested in facilitating or hosting a clinic related to a sport of interest.
Become a Partner Organization
LiFEsports partners with local community agencies to both enhance their services as well as increase services provided to the LiFEsports youth. Current partnerships include working with academic units to provide summer programming to their youth, piloting the LiFEsports curriculum in after-school programs, and connecting with health and mental health services.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please contact LiFEsports at: firstname.lastname@example.org
